44 Days of Witchery: Day 5
Day 5: A favorite Goddess. I’ve kind of latched onto Hecate lately. The dark moon Goddess, triple Goddess… she embodies a lot of the mysteries and power that I resonate with most. She is the banisher, as well as the guiding torch. I have also always like Selene and other moon goddesses.

44 Days of Witchery: Day 4
Day 4: Picture of nature (water element). This is the Gulf of Mexico, taken in May of 2011. Although I’d been to the beach a few times as a young child, my parents started taking us almost religiously when we were in elementary school/early middle school. I wasn’t in love with it at all times, mostly because I got burnt out on the experience, and have always preferred fresh water...

44 Days of Witchery: Day 3
Day 3: Witchy tools: Athame I don’t have an athame. I am not sure if I ever will. It isn’t something that speaks to me/something I can see myself seriously using. If I come to a point in my explorations wherein I need to use such a tool, I’ll consider it, but as for now it isn’t something I own or am considering owning.

44 Days of Witchery: Day 2
Day 2: A myth or story from folklore. The myths of various tragic lovers tend to stick with me. Endymion and Selene, Psyche and Eros, Echo for Narcissus. I don’t care for the ones that involve pursuit without consent, though, like Apollo and Daphne or Zeus and… anyone but Hera, pretty much. So although the love may be tragic, at least it is consensual.

44 Days of Witchery: Day 1
Day 1: What’s your “witchy” background? Although most of my followers aren’t people I know personally, and those that do know me personally probably don’t know this much about my spiritual beliefs either, I’m gonna do this survey, I guess, if only for exploratory reasons. I have always been into a more nature-oriented spirituality. My dad tried to raise me as...
